For the third straight season, the Flagstaff Alpine Ski Team won the United States Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA) Southern Series Championship in Taos, New Mexico at the end of March.

Flagstaff competes with five other teams in the series, four from New Mexico and one from Colorado. Team FAST took the title with 13,500 points, ahead of Purgatory, Colorado's 10,560 and Santa Fe, New Mexico's 8,360.

Flagstaff also had five athletes win individual titles, with Luke Schultz (U8 boys), Cooper Spillman (U10 boys), Aliza Felder (U14 girls), Cooper French (U14 boys) and Tori Pisacano (U16-19 girls).

The series includes three races at four locations: Purgatory, Flagstaff, Taos and Sipapu in New Mexico. Ages under-8 to under-12 years old run in 12 total races while the ability class from under-14 to under-19 competes in 10 races. Totaling 35 team members, Flagstaff runs against 148 athletes, 93 boys and 55 girls, in the series.
