Sue Darling

Former Northern Arizona women's basketball coach Sue Darling recorded a 36-82 overall record and a 24-52 record in the Big Sky Conference during her four-year tenure.

Sue Darling is no longer the head coach of the Northern Arizona women's basketball team, sources confirmed on Friday.

About to enter her fifth year with the team, Darling finishes with a 36-82 overall record and a 24-52 record in the Big Sky Conference.

Assistant coach Robyne Bostick has been named the interim coach of the Lumberjacks. On Darling's staff for the past four seasons, Bostick also coached with Darling at Air Force from 1998-2001.

Also, Alyssa Rader is no longer with the Northern Arizona program. After winning the Big Sky Conference Outstanding Freshman award last season, Rader's Twitter account stated she moved to the University of South Florida on Sept. 19.

Northern Arizona released the following statement about Darling's departure:

“A change in leadership in the women’s basketball program has been made as we continue to move forward in meeting NAU Athletics’ core goals. Robyne Bostick is serving as the interim head coach for the 2016-17 season. A national search will be conducted at the conclusion of the season. NAU Athletics remains committed to ensuring that our student-athletes are successful in their pursuit of academic and athletic excellence.”
