The Northern Arizona women's tennis team ended its regular-season conference schedule undefeated for the second year in a row upon defeating North Dakota on Friday.

The Lumberjacks notched their first 7-0 shutout of the season against the Fighting Hawks, increasing to 17-3 overall and 11-0 in the Big Sky.

Just one match remains for Northern Arizona, and it's against Grand Canyon next weekend.

"Since the beginning of the season, it has been about the process," said Lumberjacks head coach Maciej Bogusz. "Every practice we focus on improving areas of our play and every match we look to implement them."

Hanneke Lodewijks and Ellie Millard paired to pick up their 10th win as a duo with a 6-1 performance against UND's Elly Hartnett and Carmen Palumbo. Chiara Tomasetti and Madi Moore clinched the doubles point for the fourth straight match, 6-1, against UND's Masha Lobanova and Zahra Finnigan.

The Lumberjacks continued their push with Cora-Lynn von Dungern and Eirene Granville notching their third straight doubles win 6-2 at the No. 2 position.

With the score 1-0, freshmen Millard and Moore finished 6-2, 6-0 and 6-1, 6-2, respectively, to extend the lead to 3-0 before Granville's win-clinching 6-2, 6-1 victory against UND's Jaylee Yasunaga.

"Having a home crowd always gives us a lot of confidence going into a match," Bogusz said. "Hearing the cheers and seeing the fans, really elevates our performance. Thank you to everyone who came out to support us this season."

NAU's Tomasetti, Lodewijks and Von Dungern finished the sweep.

"Playing Grand Canyon will get us ready for the Big Sky Conference tournament," Bogusz said. "We will have a chance to adapt to lower elevation and warmer weather."

Following GCU, the Lumberjacks will compete in the conference tournament in Phoenix as the No. 1 seed. The Big Sky Championships will take place April 26 through April 28 at the Phoenix Tennis Center.
