Northern Arizona enters the weekend having already competed in one meet this season. In early December, a small selection of sprinters and distance runners made the trip to Bozeman, Montana, for the Bobcat Preview hosted by Big Sky Conference opponent Montana State.

A few notable events for the Lumberjacks during that meet included the women's relay team comprised of Clarissa Maxey, Jasmine Malone, Miracle Onyemaobi and Helena McLeod dominating the 4x400-meter relay finals to finish in first place on a time of 3:52.90.

"It is important that we do not put too much pressure on timing," Malone said. "Instead, we would rather focus on our efforts and performances. I'm hoping all of us as a team can show that we are ready."

Friday Night Duals will be the first official competition that the throwers event groups will participate in for the 2019 indoor season.
