Northern Arizona junior forward Paige Maling was named offensive player of the week by the Big Sky Conference, with the recognition following a Lumberjacks 4-0 win against Detroit Mercy on Sunday.

This marks the first time Maling has garnered the award. This also is the first time in two years a Lumberjacks offensive player was selected.

During her 80 minutes of action on Sunday, Maling took a total of seven shots with five being on goal. Maling scored two out of the four goals against Detroit Mercy. Both goals were within a minute and a half of each other, giving the Lumberjacks a 3-0 advantage just 30 minutes into the home match at Lumberjack Stadium.

Tatum Heeres set up Maling on her first strike with a cross into the left corner in the 26th minute. Maling's second goal came unassisted in the 28th minute.
