Northland Prep's girls soccer team cleaned up the 2A Conference, Central Region awards, with nearly the entire roster earning some type of recognition.

With Michael Blair and Keith Hovis earning region coach of the year honors, Eleni Papas, Mia Blair and Ellie Karren all received individual awards as well. Papas won the region's defensive player of the year, with Karren the offensive player and Mia Blair the region player of the year overall.

All three players finished on the region's first team, as well as Delaney Page, Brianna Hovis, Emma Blair, Kiarra Hovis and Ginger Blodgett. Emma Heitkamp, Regan Eagar, Rachel Ryan and Payten Schmidt earned second-team honors, and Karrie Lundstrom, Alyssa Sturm and Anna White were named honorable mentions.

Northland Prep's boys soccer team placed Zach Martin, Jakob Heitkamp and Joey Haetzen on their region's second team, while Conner Barta, Liam Cashmore and Kyle Ziglich earned honorable mentions.


Dominating the 4A Conference, Grand Canyon Region throughout the season, Flagstaff and Coconino took home multiple all-region awards.

Flagstaff's Beth Haglin won coach of the year, with Lydia Miller the region player of the year and Hutton Hagerman the defensive player of the year. The two, along with Tara Brain and Brooklyn Quick, ended up on the region's first team, with Theresa Palacios an honorable mention.

Dana Parker earned the offensive player of the year award for Coconino as well as first-team honors, while sister Brooke Parker ended the season on the second team. Lauren Touchstone rounded out the honors with an honorable mention.

For 2A Northland Prep, Casey Auza finished on the Central Region's first team while Avery Thomas and Rebecca Gerety were placed on the second team. Savannah Gaun and Sofie Linskey rounded out the team's honors with honorable mentions.
