PAGE 3, SNOWFLAKE 0
Taytum Lund's hat trick and Cammie Robinson's goalkeeping lifted Page to a 3-0 girls soccer win over Snowflake Tuesday in Page.
Lund notched her second hat trick in a row, five days after a 9-1 rout of Holbrook on the road. Robinson made several critical stops in the second half to preserve the shutout for the Sand Devils (3-1), who need just one more win to match their victory total from last season.
Page led 1-0 at halftime. In the second half, Robinson held her line and stopped Snowflake's Paulina Loya point-blank in the 58th minute. Lund broke free and scored from the right side to make it 2-0 nine minutes later, and found the net from the left side in the 70th minute.
Robinson made two more big stops to turn in the clean sheet. With four minutes to play, she batted down a shot but had to take it off the foot of a Snowflake player, then had to elevate to grab a long free kick by Halli Wood. Snowflake fell to 1-3.
Page returns to play on its home field at 4:30 p.m. tomorrow with Chino Valley, runners-up in Class 2A last year to Northland Prep.
