Two members of Page High’s 2012 Division III girls basketball state championship team have signed to play college ball next season.
Celeste “Boka” Claw, the inspirational leader for the Sand Devils as a senior two years ago, has signed with BYU-Hawaii after playing two years for Chandler-Gilbert Community College. Autumn Whitehorse, a 2014 graduate, will play at William Penn University in Oskaloosa, Iowa.
Claw started at point guard for Chandler-Gilbert and led the Arizona Community Colleges in assists with seven per game. In high school, she attracted additional attention with a unique dyed Mohawk hair design.

“Celeste is a veteran traditional point guard who distributes the ball very well,” said BYU-Hawaii head coach Craig Stanger. “She understands the game, sees the floor exceptionally well and makes those around her better. She thrives on getting the ball to her teammates so they can be successful. She also has the ability to break down defenses and score.”
In five years, PHS head coach Justin Smith has had nine players play or sign with college teams.
