The Flagstaff Eagles girls basketball team continued its winning ways in Nevada on Thursday at the Gator Winter Classic at Green Valley High School in Henderson.

Sheridan Edgewater recorded a game-high 16 points for the Eagles, who played just one game on Day Two of the tourney after winning both games Wednesday. The senior guard hit four 3-pointers in the 58-38 victory over Fernley (Nevada).

Gracelyn Nez added 14 points for Flagstaff, which opened the game strong with a 17-point, first-quarter performance while holding their opponent to seven points.

Hailey Armus connected on two 3s en route to a 10-point night, and Josephine Faull tallied eight points. Emma Doskicz also had a pair of buckets from beyond the arc for her six points.

Edgewater hit all her shots in the game's first three quarters. She had two 3s in Flagstaff's 16-point third quarter.

The Eagles continue play at the tournament on Friday with the hopes of getting into Saturday's games.
