It makes me very uncomfortable when President Trump keeps harping on how we are the greatest, No. 1 in the world, etc.

I agree that is the goal, but I don't think we need to broadcast or brag about it, keep throwing in the world's face. I think that only creates hate around the world and resentment among our allies if not hate.

We all know the psychology of being No. 1 in sports. We often root against the No. 1 team just because they are No. 1. We like to see the underdog win. I don't think it's a good idea to keep reminding the world we are No. 1. That's almost a challenge to dethrone the No. 1.
