Time to modify or rescind fire hazard restrictions. The fire is out. The fire hazard restriction area is not needed, or at least needs to be modified. The boundary areas shown on the charts make it difficult to determine the exact boundary. (If you follow the southern boundary from Commerce Ave westward, the line is north of the Pipeline Trail!)

I am proud of our firefighters, and the overall response; they were excellent. Now, we need the Forest Service administration to allow some common sense into the decision making. At least, just modify the southeastern boundary area, where there is no fire or water hazard (never was any!). If there is a flood hazard, it is only in a very limited area by Paradise and Grandview, and I believe the "BAER" estimates probably should be revised.

I know the officials will err on the side of caution, but it is time to use a little "common sense" and review the entire situation. Again, a thank you for the fine response, but it is time to allow our residents and tourists some access in the safe areas. Delay in lifting some restrictions until September or October would be nonsense, and display a real lack of knowledge and understanding of the situation.
