First let me say I am not a native of Flagstaff, but the day I moved here 10 years ago, I embraced the rich history of this special town. Flagstaff is a wonderful place to live, there is a heartbeat, a pulse to our town.
Part of that heartbeat is the way our businesses, our groups and our various events interact and support one another. We do not believe in “elitism” in Flagstaff, Mr. Nelson and Mr. Brasch, we believe in a community, one that comes together and shares ideas in a positive way. Yes, there are a lot of updates that need to be done at Buffalo Park, which will most likely be fully supported by our citizens, but not the removal of our beloved buffalo. Hands off.
P.S. I believe that in 2016 the National Park Service acknowledged that small buffalo (Bison) herds were in this area over the past 11,000 years. This was confirmed by Grand Canyon management and nine wildlife biologists. This report allows the culling, but not the removal of the bison entirely from the Grand Canyon.
