Temporary elections office at the mall

The Coconino County Recorders Office has opened a temporary elections office next to JCPenney in the Flagstaff Mall.

The Coconino County Elections Office has opened a temporary office at the Flagstaff Mall. The office is open now through the November 6, 2018 general election. The office is located next to JCPenney with office hours from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

“I’m very excited that we are able to provide a second office location in Flagstaff for the upcoming 2018 elections,” said Coconino County Recorder Patty Hansen.

“We have a large number of voters that live on the east side of Flagstaff and this temporary office will make it more convenient for those voters and for the many Navajo and Hopi voters that work and shop in Flagstaff.”

At the newly opened office, people will be able to vote early in person and register to vote. The office is also being used as a poll worker training facility for the many election board workers that are needed to conduct elections.

The Flagstaff downtown and Flagstaff Mall offices will have extended hours on Saturday, August 18 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for voters to drop off their voted early ballots or to vote early in-person. The deadline to vote early in person is Friday, August 24 at 5 p.m. The deadline to drop off your voted early ballot is 7 p.m. on election day, August 28.
