Aggravated assault

A man reported that someone attacked him with a machete on Monday in the Walmart parking lot on Woodlands Village Boulevard. The victim said the man called himself “Sun God” and swung the machete multiple times before the victim doused him with pepper spray.

The man was later caught trying to shoplift a bike. He had a “machete-type knife” at the time of his arrest, according to the police report.

Carlos Lopez IV was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and misdemeanor shoplifting.


A businessman reported his University Drive car wash was burglarized on Sunday. The owner said a coin machine was taken from the business by drilling it off the wall.

-- A man reported his laptop stolen at an apartment complex on 700 S. Blackbird Roost St. on Monday. When the man returned home from dinner he noticed that his laptop was missing.

Drug offense

A woman was arrested at Flagstaff Medical Center after medical staff found a meth pipe in her possession.

Shelia Davis was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.

--Police responded to reports of a woman with a knife on East Soliere Avenue and East Fox Lair Drive.

Police located the woman, who was carrying a box cutter, according to the police report.

The woman told police that she had a syringe of methamphetamine.

Amber Lee was arrested for dangerous drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.
