Sedona tour jeep rollover

A tour jeep from the Sedona area rolled over and started a brush fire on Saturday. Three people, including the driver were taken to the hospital with injuries.

The driver of a tour jeep and two other occupants were transported to local hospitals Saturday after their vehicle rolled over on State Route 89A near Page Springs Road.

According to a press release from Sedona Fire District, firefighters were called to the accident around 4 p.m. Saturday. They found the tour jeep had rolled over and come to a rest in an upright position. All six of the occupants in the vehicle were able to get out, but the driver had to be pulled from the vehicle by people at the accident scene. The accident also caused a small brush fire.

The driver was flown by helicopter to Flagstaff Medical Center. Two passengers were taken by ground ambulance to Verde Valley Medical Center in Cottonwood. The remaining four passengers refused treatment.
