The Flagstaff Police Department is investigating the attempted sexual assault and kidnapping of an eighteen-year old woman that occurred on the night of Monday, September 10. 

According to police, at approximately 8 p.m. the victim reported that she was attacked near the 3800 block of East Sioux Drive in Flagstaff.

According a press release, the suspect pulled the victim into a nearby wooded area and physically assaulted her and attempted to sexually assault her as she fought for her freedom. The attacker eventually let go of the victim as she continued to fight.

The woman described her aggressor as a Native American male, approximately 6-feet tall with a heavy build and medium-length hair. She also stated that the suspect was wearing large, squared prescription glasses and a black shirt and blue jeans.
