ADOT says both westbound lanes of I-40 near Twin Arrows have reopened. They had been closed around noon due to a brush fire.
Eastbound lanes remain open but traffic is slow due to lane restrictions in the fire zone.
Noon: Brush fire closes westbound I-40 just east of Twin Arrows
PHOENIX – A brush fire that broke out before noon has closed Interstate 40 westbound about 30 miles west of Winslow, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation. The closure is at milepost 220, which is just before the Twin Arrows exit.
There is no estimated time to reopen westbound lanes. Eastbound lanes are unaffected.
