Dr. Robert Fredrick Boothe Sr, 94, passed in peace December 5th, 2018 at his home with family by his side, in Flagstaff Arizona.
Robert (Bob) was born August 30th, 1924 in Brush, Co., son of the late Robert F Boothe and Lean Weathers Boothe.
He graduated from Central Missouri State College with a B.S. in Mathematics in Education in 1950. Earned his M.Ed. & Ed.D. from University of Missouri in 1959. Robert had a passion for teaching and learning. He was a distinguished professor of education and served as Department Chair of the College’s Educational Administration Department for 12 years. He was awarded Professor Emeritus after serving 30 years at Northern Arizona University. Robert was well known and respected in the local community. One of his strongest character traits was his ability to empathize with those he met. He was a very caring and compassionate person, humorist, champion of social consciousness and always put the needs of others before his own. A very descriptive and great story teller, who could hold everyone's attention. He was a natural born leader. A proud patriot and U.S. Marine veteran. He was a cherished husband, beloved father, grandfather, and great grandfather as well as a great friend to many.
Robert will be lovingly remembered by his family and friends. He is survived by his beloved son Robert F Boothe III and wife Keri (Miller) Boothe; Nephew Mark Rollins; his grandchildren Anne (Boothe) Natale, Shannon (Boothe) Dinning, Richard Boothe, Josh Hudlow, Shyla (Hudlow)Pennington, Travis Boothe; and his great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sons Richard and Paul and wife Virginia Boothe and Annaleise Womack-Boothe.
A memorial service will be held Saturday January 12th, 2019 at 10:00 AM at the Federated Community Church in Flagstaff Arizona.
