Regina “Gina” Michele Meadows, 45, passed away on November 7, 2017, in Phoenix, Arizona, following an extended illness. She was comforted with family, love and prayers. Gina was born August 3, 1972, in Flagstaff, Arizona, to Pat and Kathy Meadows. She spent her childhood in Flagstaff and was a 1990 graduate of Coconino High School. Gina furthered her schooling receiving a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Education from Northern Arizona University. Gina then moved to Phoenix where she began her teaching career in the Cartwright School District, in Maryvale. She started her work with children from Tomahawk Elementary, and then with her sense for adventure taught one year in Alabama, before going to the Anglo-American School of Moscow, Russia for three years. Gina then returned to Phoenix and worked with the students of Borman Elementary School.
Throughout her teaching career, she had a gift and was admired by co-workers and students.
Gina was genuine, caring, adventurous, and loved shopping!! She was passionate about her beliefs, and always willing to stand up for what she thought was right. Gina is survived by her loving parents, Pat and Kathy Meadows, of Flagstaff; her sister, Lisa Brasseaux, brother-in-law, Scotty, and her niece, Addison, from Alabaster, Alabama; and Dewey, her beloved Schnoodle. Also, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends. She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents, Rex and Marian Mooney and Della Meadows and Jeff Meadows and cousins, Brandon and Tammy.
Her family will always remember her big blue eyes, her beautiful smile, and her silly sense of humor. She will be missed dearly.
