Randy Smith passed away on December 3, 2018 in Flagstaff, Arizona at the age of 62 after battling cancer. Randy was born in Alpine, Texas and was raised in Colton, California. He graduated from Colton High School in 1974 where he was a standout football player and track star. He completed two years of community college before moving to Arizona. Randy worked in construction and hotel maintenance.
Randy loved collecting arrowheads, pottery shards, and rocks containing fossils. He enjoyed football, cars, boats, drawing, dirt-biking, hunting and fishing. He loved to tinker on remote control cars and anything in the garage. He was a natural athlete who did well at any sport he attempted.
Randy will be lovingly remembered by his family and friends. He is survived by his beloved son, Devin Milo Smith; sisters Beverly Hurley and Valerie Kay Hart (Rush); and two aunts, many cousins and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Jimmy and Janie Smith, and his beloved brother, Roger Smith.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 10:00 am at Norvel Owens Mortuary in Flagstaff, Arizona.
