Lynn Sibley (formerly Daniels and Horner)
November 7, 1948 - August 28, 2017
A celebration of her life will be held Friday, September 8, 2017 at 18 Sunset St, Longmont, CO 80501 from 2:00 - 6:00pm.
She was born to Ted and Helen Daniels and raised in Tucson, Arizona and was the eldest of four siblings. A caretaker from an early age, Lynn helped her mother take care of her three siblings after their father’s untimely death and for the rest of her life did all she could to help those around her. Later she moved to Flagstaff, AZ for college, married her first husband (George Horner), entered motherhood, and became an active and dedicated barber and business owner at Greenlaw Wash and Kut. It was while working here several years later that she met Dennis Sibley, and in 1979 they were married. Lynn lived in many different communities, (Flagstaff, AZ, Mokena, IL, Burlington and Bar Harbor ME, Zephyrhills FL) and in every one she was quick to make
friends and make a positive difference. She loved dancing, traveling, swimming, and above all else spending time around her family.
Lynn is survived by her husband Dennis Sibley (Burlington, ME), brother Pete (Kari) Daniels (Arizona), sisters Kitty (Ed) Moore (Utah) and Eve (John) Orr (Hawaii), son Damon Horner (Illinois), daughters Wendy Horner (Longmont, CO) and Anaika (Chris) Sibley (Castle Rock, CO), step-sons Denny (Terry) Sibley (Illinois), Dan (Jane) Sibley (Maine), and step-daughters Kathy (Brad) Tolman (Illinois), LaDonna (Alan) Browsey (South Dakota).
She was an amazing and beloved daughter, sister, cousin, wife, mother, step-mother, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to countless people who will miss her immeasurably. Donating to the charity of your choice or Halcyon Hospice is preferred, but Mom also loved plants and flowers in bloom. Please have cards and deliveries sent to 2153 Hackberry Circle, Longmont, CO 80501 the day before her celebration.
