Northern Arizona University Police are looking for a suspect in an attempted sexual assault that took place near campus on April 5.

According to NAU PD, a female student reported on April 11 that a Hispanic or Native American man attempted to assault her between 1 and 2 a.m. on April 5. The attempted assault took place in a wooded area northwest of the intersection of Knoles and McConnell drives. The man fled the area on foot. 

The suspect is described as either Hispanic or Native American, between 5-foot-7 and 6-feet tall with a medium build. He was wearing a black sweatshirt, jeans and heavy boots.
