Praying For A Country

Chheten Tamang prays for friends and family at the Puja altar in her Flagstaff home Friday morning. Tamang's village in northern Nepal was swept away by an avalanche following last Saturday's earthquake.

The Orpheum Theater is hosting A Night of Film and Music for Nepal Relief on Friday. Doors open at 6 p.m. and music starts at 7 p.m.

Tickets will be available for a suggested donation of $10.

The event will include a raffle, auction and possibly games.

Contact Flagstaff International Relief Effort at (928) 779-2288 for more information or to donate items for the auction.

Donated items can also be dropped off at Fizzy Bella at 113 E. Birch Ave.

Donations to FIRE’s Nepal relief work can be mailed or made online.

Checks can be mailed to FIRE at P.O. Box 22187 Flagstaff, Arizona 86002.

Donations can be made online at www.fireprojects.org. If an option is not available to direct the donation to Nepal relief efforts, send an email to info@fireprojects.org specifying that is where the money should go.
