The Northern Arizona cross country teams are set to compete in the NCAA Mountain Regionals in Salt Lake City this week, searching for a bid to the national championship meet.

Friday's race will take place at the Rose Park Golf Course, with the women's 6K race scheduled for an 11 a.m. start and the men's 10K slated to go off at noon.

Northern Arizona's men squad won the 2018 edition of the meet last season, beating out host BYU, and the Lumberjacks will be looking for a fourth straight regional title.

The NAU men are ranked No. 1 in the nation, while BYU and Colorado are currently ranked No. 2 and No. 3, respectively, will both line up against the Jacks on Friday. No. 20 Utah State and No. 25 Colorado State are expected to race.
