Northern Arizona men's long-distance runner Geordie Beamish finds himself in the national spotlight yet again, this time for his performance in the classroom.

Beamish has earned a spot on the 2018-19 Google Cloud Academic Second Team All-American list for cross country and track and field, ending the school year with a 3.73 GPA while majoring in civil engineering.

The Google Cloud Academic All-American award honors student-athletes who excel academically while regularly competing for their institution. All selections are chosen by CoSIDA membership and receive All-District honors. First team All-District selections are automatically considered for academic All-American status and are chosen by members of the academic All-American committee and CoSIDA board of directors.
