Former Northern Arizona positions coach Jimmy Beal will no longer be a part of the Lumberjacks football program.
Beal will now be headed to South Dakota State for an unknown coaching role. The Jackrabbits had a vacancy at running backs coach -- a role that Beal filled during his eight years in Flagstaff.
He was most recently moved to corner backs coach and director of football operations shortly after new head coach Chris Ball came to Flagstaff in December.
Beal spent time coaching running backs and tight ends for most of his career in Flagstaff, and was one of Northern Arizona's top recruiters during his time with the program.
Beal's departure leaves just Robin and Aaron Pflugrad as the lone holdovers from last season's coaching staff to stay on board following the head coaching change.
