A group of Colombian tourists was among the six killed in last Saturday's collision on U.S. Highway 89 near Cameron.
A Kia, driven by Javas J. Cody, 18, was traveling northbound on the US 89 when it crossed over the median and collided head-on with a Hyundai in the southbound lanes. Aaron Chee, 39, was a passenger in the Kia with Cody. Both Cody and Chee were from Kayenta.
According to Quentin G. Mehr, public information officer with the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the Kia was reported as driving recklessly at a high rate of speed.
Juliana Pena Delgado, 22, was driving the Hyundai with Carlos Mario Pena Jaramillo, 60, Manuela Pena Delgado, 22, and Soriada Delgado Sierra, 58, as passengers in the car.
All six died at the scene of the accident.
