The Division II Flagstaff girls cross country team got its usual 1-2 punch from the Hall sisters en route to winning the Section Two title on Wednesday at the Rose Mofford course in Phoenix.
While the Eagles girls squad won with the low score of 35 points, the boys team was the runner-up with 59 points, falling to Sunrise Mountain and its 43-point effort.
Eagles senior Hana Hall claimed the individual crown of the 5K race for the second straight year with a time of 17:59.9, and her freshman sister, Mia, was second in 18:07.9. Teammate Allie Thurgood clocked 19:08.3 for fifth place overall. Flagstaff's Brooke Golightly and Breana Biggambler took 13th and 14th place, respectively, while Alexis Lott came in 25th and Olivia Schepper 26th.
The Eagles boys crew was led by a fourth-place individual finish from Riley Human in 15:56.8. Teammate Max Davis crossed the finish line in sixth place in 16:12.7.

It was the first time since 2014, when Flagstaff competed in Section One, the Eagles boys team didn't win the title.
Lance Harris was the third Flagstaff runner on the boys side to finish Wednesday's race, coming in at 13th overall in 16:46.3, and teammate Gabrial Harju was 14th in 17:01.1. Zac Joyce, Troy Baker, Robert Parker rounded out the team's racers with finishes of 22nd, 24th and 33rd, respectively.
The state championship meet is set to take place Saturday, Nov. 14, at Cave Creek Golf Course in the north Phoenix area.
