Interstate 17 northbound at milepost 338, two miles south of I-40 in Flagstaff reopened at 3:30 p.m., Wednesday afternoon after a motorcycle accident an hour earlier, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

According to Arizona Department of Public Safety troopers, a man riding a motorcycle northbound on I-17 lost control of the vehicle and crashed. The man, who was wearing a helmet, was transported to Flagstaff Medical Center for treatment.

The cause of the crash is currently under investigation.
