Due to monsoon moisture, stage 2 fire restrictions at Grand Canyon National Park will be lifted starting at 8 a.m. on Friday, July 13. The restrictions will be rescinded for the entire park.
Grand Canyon remains in stage 1 restrictions year-round, which requires that a campfire always be in a designated fire ring within maintained campground. Open fires are not allowed below the rim.
Visitors and residents will be permitted to use charcoal grills and have campfires once the restrictions are lifted. Firewood will be available for purchase at park concessions operations.
