Arizona Game and Fish

On Saturday, July 14, officers from the Arizona Game and Fish Department will conduct a sobriety checkpoint along U.S. Forest Service Road 240, in the Coconino National Forest. The checkpoint will be located west of Mormon Lake toward Munds Park.

According to a Game and Fish press release, the purpose of the checkpoint is to detect and deter violations of Arizona’s laws regarding the operation of an off-highway vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs--something that can be a danger to wildlife and drivers alike.
