Coconino County Superintendent of Schools Risha VanderWey is seeking applications to fill a vacancy on the Fredonia Moccasin Unified School District Governing Board.

This seat will become vacant on June 20 due to the resignation of current board member Duane Baird. VanderWey will appoint a replacement to fill the seat. The appointed board member will serve through December 31, 2016.

To be eligible to serve on a school district governing board, a candidate must be a registered Arizona voter and must have been a resident of the school district

A candidate must be a resident of Fredonia Moccasin Unified School District for at least one year prior to the appointment. A candidate or their spouse may not be an employee of the school district.

An advisory committee consisting of district residents and a current board member will conduct interviews and advise VanderWey on the appointment.
