Arizona Superintendent of Public Instruction Diane Douglas announced Thursday that a full-time position dedicated to the certification needs of teachers and administrators in northern Arizona has been created.
“This new position will make a real difference for educators who would otherwise have to make long drives to receive assistance related to their certificates,” Douglas said in a press release.
The specialist will also work with NAU's College of Education to help identify ways to keep future teachers in the state after graduation, and provide support to Native American educators.
The reporter can be reached at email@example.com or 556-2249.
