School Supplies

Suddenlink and the Flagstaff Greater Chamber of Commerce’s annual Teacher Supply Drive starts at noon on Thursday at both local Walmart stores. The drive runs from noon to 5 p.m. Thursday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at the Walmart Supercenter, 2601 E. Huntington Dr., and Walmart at 2750 S. Woodlands Village Blvd.

Donors have a variety of options to choose from, said Nicole Benko from Suddenlink. They can donate money, school supplies, a prepacked bag of school supplies or buy a hot dog lunch with chips and a drink for $2. The money collected from donations and from the lunch goes to purchase additional school supplies. A list of needed supplies is available at each Walmart.

This year’s Supply Drive partners include Walmart, Swire Coca-Cola, Prime Time Athletics, the Hallmark Channel, The Peaks Senior Living and Great Circle Media.
