The outside doors at Flagstaff High School were briefly locked Friday morning after a suspicious person carrying a gun was spotted across the street.

A lockout situation is where no one is allowed into the school but students and staff are able to move around the building, said Karin Eberhard, Flagstaff Unified School District's relations coordinator.

Flagstaff Police officers stopped the suspicious person and found that they were carrying a BB gun.
