A 28-year-old youth pastor in Flagstaff pleaded guilty today to one count of sexual conduct with a minor in Coconino County Superior Court.

Daniel Ledford will now face a presumptive one-year jail sentence as a condition of a plea agreement.

He was originally arrested on 15 counts of sexual conduct with a minor, following a relationship that included sexual acts with a 16-year-old girl between July and September of this year.

"It's not binding to me, I can do what I want within the law," said Coconino County Superior Court Judge Joseph Lodge, cautioning that he could still issue a maximum sentence. "If you don't like my sentence, you've given up the right to appeal."

Sentencing is set for 9 a.m. on December 21.
