According to the Flagstaff Police Department, on Sunday, March 10 a female woke in her off-campus residence at approximately 4 a.m. and discovered an unidentified male next to her bed touching her.
The suspect in this case is described as male, with a “larger wider build,” last seen wearing a dark gray or black sweatshirt.
The male fled the area and has not been identified.
According to police, this case is similar to an incident reported in October of 2018 where a female woke at 3 a.m. in her off-campus residence and discovered an unidentified male crouched next to her bed touching her. The male was described as having short crew cut hair, “skinnier build,” six foot or taller in height, and was last seen wearing a brown or khaki colored zip up jean style jacket with pockets on the shoulders.
The subject in that incident also fled and has not been identified as of yet.
Both incidents occurred in the southside neighborhood of Flagstaff near the NAU campus. The Flagstaff Police Department is the lead investigating agency for both incidents.
