PAGE — The body of a Salt Lake City area man was recovered last week from the Bullfrog Marina area by National Park Service divers, Glen Canyon National Recreation Area reported Tuesday.
A news release said the body of 19-year-old Victor Alfonso-Flores, a Mexican National, was recovered about 11:36 a.m. MST last Friday, after a 911 call was received of a missing swimmer about 2:45 p.m. Thursday.
Park rangers began an immediate search of the area Thursday by boat and overflight until darkness prevented safe operations. Search efforts resumed Friday morning with the National Park Service dive team. The incident was jointly investigated by the park service and Kane County Sheriff’s Office.
