Grocery store burglary
Someone broke into a Flagstaff grocery store to steal alcohol last week.
According to the police report, video surveillance showed a man threw a rock through the glass door at the Bashas' located at 1000 N. Humphreys St. at about 2:20 a.m. Thursday. The suspect entered the store through the broken door, then walked to the alcohol aisle, grabbed two bottles of rum and ran outside. He returned moments later to steal two more bottles. Officers found one of the bottles shattered on the ground in front of a nearby business.
The suspect was a male wearing a gray beanie, black or gray jacket, baggy pants and white shoes. The investigation is ongoing.
Charged with DUI
— Matthew Lee Kaye, 21, of Many Farms was arrested by Flagstaff Police Department and charged with extreme DUI at 8:33 p.m. Wednesday.
