Sedona woman and small business owner Bonnie Sedan is set to walk 500 miles across the length of Spain (a pilgrimage known as The Camino) in April to raise awareness for those who have lost a child and/or are infertile. Sedan’s walk was inspired by her own miscarriage and infertility, which was a three year journey that has ended in grief.

Sedan, a Cornell College graduate who resides in Sedona with her spouse, will be walking for the nonprofit, Through the Heart. Through the Heart focuses on supporting those who have or are suffering directly or indirectly from pregnancy loss. Some of their programs include that of: Comfort Kits, Creative Writing for Grief, Discussion Boards for women and families as well as many other educational and supportive efforts.

Sedan will be hosting an IndieGoGo campaign this month to raise money. Proceeds will benefit Through the Heart and also allow for women and families to send Sedan small tokens (buttons, charms, etc.) to carry for the entire 500-mile journey. For more information, visit
