3:50 p.m. update: The fire is affecting three acres in the area now, but forward progress has been stopped, according to a tweet from the Coconino National Forest. More than 50 personnel are on the scene along with engines and a dozer.

Original post: The Chimney Springs Fire is currently burning about two acres of land a few miles north of Flagstaff, according to the Coconino National Forest. Crews have arrived on the scene and the incident commander has brought in aircraft to assist. Light smoke is visible in the area, as reported by multiple people in and around Flagstaff.

According to the National Weather Service, the forecast calls for more high temperatures in the mid-80s for the next couple days, though today's 20-25 mph wind gusts will die down entering the weekend.
