The Hardy fire south of Little America hotel in Flagstaff is now 80 percent contained.
According to information from the Emergency Operations Center at the Law Enforcement Administration Facility, fire crews are expecting to get full containment of the 282-acre fire by the weekend or sooner.
No spot fires have been reported in the last 48 hours, and the Type II Incident Management Team overseeing the fighting of the fire will turn over command to the Flagstaff Fire Department. Fire mop-up efforts and patrols will continue of the next several days.

One firefighter twisted an ankle fighting the fire, was treated and released, according to the EOC information. The area of the fire continues to be restricted to residents only.
The Hardy fire started Saturday afternoon. A transient has been arrested on wildland burning charges in connection with the start of the Hardy fire. He remains in jail in lieu of $2,500 bond.
