Super Service Saturdays continue to grow, as do their number of participants--both young and old. This Saturday, August 11, the county will be hosting the second Super Service event from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at 2625 N King Street. The program started this year and gives residents the opportunity to access numerous services, including employment, financial and WIC services.

It's not all work and no play, however, according to the County. For the first time during the event, kids activities will be provided, including a bounce house, cornhole game, hula hoops and an obstacle course. There will also be a "flash sale" for Coconino County Fair tickets from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m.

This Saturday, county residents can also take advantage of the following services:

  • Immunizations and school sports physicals. Students can receive a free backpack when they get their back-to-school shots or sports physical (while supplies last).
  • Food Handlers Class from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. ($20)
  • Sexual Health Clinic.
  • WIC Services such as certification and enrollment appointments.
  • Breastfeeding Peer Counseling Support Group from 10-11 a.m.
  • Financial Empowerment Workshops. This service does not accept walk-ins, register beforehand by calling 928-679-7455.
  • Rental/utility bill assistance--also by appointment: 928-679-7455.
  • ARIZONA@WORK Job Seeker's Resources.
  • Dog licensing.

The third and last Super Service Saturday this summer will be held on September 8.
