Now-former Northern Arizona head soccer coach Andre Luciano gives high-fives to the starting players as they take the field in a match in 2017.

Northern Arizona’s longtime head soccer coach resigned from his position, according to a release sent out by the university's athletics department Wednesday afternoon.

Mike Marlow, Northern Arizona vice president for intercollegiate athletics, said in the press release that Andre Luciano sent in his letter of resignation earlier this week.

“I have seen countless alumni from the soccer program become doctors, teachers and career women as well as tremendous spouses, mothers and members of their community. I leave with no regrets from NAU,” Luciano's letter to Marlow read according to the release.

Luciano spent 18 years at the helm of the soccer program, accumulating a 149-150-52 record and led the Lumberjacks to three Big Sky Conference tournament titles.
