Starting Oct. 16, the North Rim of the Grand Canyon will begin its seasonal changes.
While the Visitor Center, gift shop, campground and entrance stations will remain open for winter, the Grand Canyon Lodge, food services, Canyon Trail Rides and park ranger programming will no longer be available. These operations will resume on May 15, 2019.
The National Park Service asks that visitors who come to the North Rim during the winter season please prepare for food and water for the day ahead of time. NPS also reminds visitors that sudden and adverse driving conditions on Highway 67 and throughout the park are likely throughout the season.
