At least one Flagstaff voter couldn’t wait until the election to make their voice heard.

According to Joy Staveley with the Coconino County Republican Party, someone threw a rock at the newly opened local Republican campaign offices in the South Woodlands BLVD shopping center.

The incident seemed to occur sometime between 6 p.m. on Sunday and 2 a.m. on Monday and shattered the offices glass door. Attached to the rock that broke the glass was the message “(expletive) Trump.”

“It’s just not OK,” Staveley said over the phone, adding that people should express their differences of opinion in a principled and non-violent manner.

Staveley said the Coconino County Republican Party has never experienced this kind of violence before, although the headquarters in Phoenix has. She said she has also heard from Republican candidates like Stuart McDaniel and Dennis Lavin who have had signs stolen and vandalized.

The group filed a police report.
