The closure order for the Museum Fire scar was slightly reduced in size Friday, opening the Rocky Ridge Trail to trail users.
Other trails have been opened since the initial forest closure, but much of the area still remains closed. U.S. Forest Service officials that manage the closure said the area is closed to ensure people are not injured by the danger of falling trees and burned out roots.

The new trail opening stops at Rocky Ridge Trail's intersection with Lower Oldham Trail, which remains closed.
Other closed trails include Little Gnarly, Schultz Loop, Sunset, Elden Lookout Trails.
