Calling all Movers, Groovers, Dancers, and Yogi to unite on the dance floor. The Orpheum will host Flagstaff’s first dance and yoga party on Friday, March 22 at 7 p.m. Tickets start at $27.
Yogi by day, DJ/Producer by night. Edward Troise brings the flavor of New York’s House Music scene to the dance floor. Accompanied by a substance-free and yoga infused approach it sets the space to reawaken the ancient and sacred ceremony of Ecstatic Dance.
Edward Troise (ET) grew up in the suburbs of Long Island, NY. With the sight of the NYC skyline on the horizon from the local beaches growing up, it wasn't long before the flourishing Electronic Music scene reeled him in. Edward discovered the tremendous power of dance and movement at some of the cities’ best venues.
From mainstream to the underground. Inspired by the trance inducing and hypnotic rhythms of the scene, he began DJ’ing at the age of 19 and producing two years later. Life took a major shift after completing courses from NYC’s Electronic Music School, Dubspot, when at 23 he found Yoga.
After completing his Yoga teacher training in the Hatha tradition, DJ’ing and Production took the back seat. Since 2018 there has been a strong calling back to the decks and production lab.
Passionate to bridge these two worlds, he has created Open Circle Events to encompass a sacred space of authentic expression and the cultivation of a loving community through movement, yoga and music.
