Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church of Flagstaff: Readers Vespers will be celebrated today. Sunday, the message will be "Fathers of the 1st Council." The Rev. Fr. Suciu will celebrate Matins and Divine Liturgy. Sermon: "John the Russian of Evia."

Living Christ Lutheran Church: The Rev. Kara Joy Stewart will speak on "The Helper." We will discuss how the Holy Spirit makes a difference in our lives. Stay for fellowship and refreshments after worship.

Christ's Church of Flagstaff: The message will be "The Battle Begins" from "The Story" series.

Epiphany Episcopal Church: The Rev. Jan James will speak on "The Coming of the Holy Spirit/The Birthday of the Church." Pentecost Sunday. Adult Forum concludes "Science & Religion" with Bob James, facilitator.

San Francisco de Asis Catholic Parish: Fr. Pat, Fr. Victor and Fr. Matt will speak on "Peace be with you." They will preach the Gospel of John 20:19-23.

Center for Spiritual Living Flagstaff: The speaker will be the Rev. Bob Henderson.

Calvary Bible Church: Pastor John Summers will speak on "The Invasion of Jerusalem." Sermon text is John 2:13-25. In the evening service, Pastor John will speak from Acts 18:23-28, "Apollos."

Beacon Unitarian Universalist Congregation: Worship associate Connie Cordain and RE Coordinator Amy Huntereece will speak on "Religious Education: Love It!" Intergenerational service explores and honors children's religious education from a UU perspective. Summer service schedule begins -- one service at 10 a.m.

Church of the Resurrection: The message will be "The Church in the Power of The Holy Spirit." Pastor Bob Norton will be preaching from Acts 2.

Flagstaff Christian Fellowship: Jeremy Lundgren will speak on "A View of God's Mercy from the Life of Elijah" from 1 Kings 19:1-18. Advocacy Teams will meet in the Fireside Room. College Group will resume June 3. There will not be an evening service due to Memorial Day.

Unity of Flagstaff: Guest Speaker: Darlene Dunning will speak on "The Power of Transformative Prayer." Meditation and children's program included.

Northern Arizona Church of Christ: Brian Vohs, Terry Haynie and Fred Casmir will speak. Final sermon on Pentecost will be three short sermons: "Birth of the Church"; "Shadows" and "Continuity" Kids Kingdom (3-7) and nursery (younger than 3) available during service.

Trinity Heights: Pastor Doug Handlong will speak on "By the Power of the Spirit," based on scripture from Acts 2:1-21.

Peace Lutheran Church: Pastor Warren Ueckert will speak on "Playing With Fire." Text: John 15:26-27, 16:4-15. Adult Bible study and refreshments between services.

Shepherd of the Hills ELCA: Pastor Tim Swanson will speak on "Fire and Wind." Celebration and classic worship services Sunday. Spoken word service today. Holy Communion at all. Fellowship/refreshments after first service.

Mountain View Church: Pastor Mike Irwin will speak on "Toddlers & Tiaras," continuing the "Reality Check" series.

Federated Community Church: William Wilson is guest worship leader and preacher Sunday morning in both worship hours. Pastor Jed will lead worship at the Memorial Day Weekend campout at Whitehorse Lake. Pentecost will be celebrated at both.

Flagstaff Quaker Meeting: An educational program "Exploring Quakerism" will be presented at the rise of meeting. A Quaker children's program is also available.

Unity Church of Flagstaff: Darlene Dunning will speak on "The Power of Transformative Prayer." Meditation and children's program are included.

Buddhist Teachings: Today and Sunday (June 3) 10 a.m. - noon and 2 - 5 p.m. each day. "The 37 Practices of a Bodhisattva" -- Part II. This classic Buddhist text from the 14th century is studied in order to train in the compassionate wisdom of a bodhisattva to overcome all negativity and manifest positive qualities. $50 per person per day.
