Phyllis Elaine Little, 81, passed away peacefully in Flagstaff, AZ after a long illness on May 15, 2017. Born in Cairo, Ohio on June 6, 1935, she was the eldest child of Marion “Bud” and Ethel (Lowry) Blymyer who preceded her in death. Phyllis graduated from Delphos (Ohio) High School (where she played the tuba in marching band) in 1953 and worked in various departments of Allen County Ohio government for several years. After her mother’s death in 1962, Phyllis moved her husband and two young sons back to her dad’s home to help raise younger brothers Ron (died in 2009) and Bill. In 1965 she moved her family to Arizona and in 1967 her daughter was born. From 1965 until 2005 she worked at Northern Arizona Council of Guidance Centers, NAU and Cottonwood Hospital. She also owned several H&R Block franchises in Winslow and Prescott Valley. Always the working Mom, Phyllis never “didn’t have time” for her kids. She was always there for school functions, athletic events, driving the paper route on those cold Flagstaff winter mornings and just to listen when we needed to talk. She loved to “be Happy”, enjoyed garage sales and living simply. She will always be “The Momma” and “Grandma Fluff” to her kids and grandchildren. Phyllis is survived by children Tim (Marcia) of Tempe, AZ, Michael (Louise) of Winslow, AZ and Beth Walden (Tom) of Flagstaff, AZ, grandchildren Ben, Danielle, Alexis, Brian, Stephan, Taylor and Hannah, nine great-grand children and her brother Bill (Marie) of Elida, OH. A private memorial service will be held later this summer. We Love and Miss You Mom!
